What's Cooking?

Stamps: Basic Grey 'Cup of Tea Bitsy Stamp Set'. Cardstock: Basic Grey 'Porcelain', Regal Rose. Ink: Chocolate Chip. Accessories: Circle Nestabilities, mini hole punch.

I'm not much of a cook, so I chose this tea theme for the Opus Gluei challenge #32 'Hey Good Looking -- What You Got Cooking' challenge. Maybe 'What you got Brewing?' would be more appropriate?? And with the cooler weather, I 'cook up' some tea every day, both for the small dose of caffeine and the warmth of just holding the mug.

The sketch is inspired by my favorite site for awesome CAS ideas, Clean & Simple Stamping Fall-To sketch #67.

Be sure to check out all the new Basic Grey mini acrylic sets now in-stock at KL Stampin N Scrappin. The November special is $5 off any order over $30 (before shipping and tax) with the special code listed on the home page.

Creating Fun From a Kit!

**Click HERE to go to Saturday Spotlight: Repeatedly Useful challenge for this week!**
Stamps: Stamping Bella 'Javabellas'. Cardstock: My Mind's Eye 'Penny Lane', Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose, Papertrey white. Ink: Memento black, Copics. Accessories: Long rectangle Nestabilities, Sizzix 'Coffee Time' die cut, Bazzill dotted organdy ribbon, gemstones, Stardust glitter pen.

Angela (SCS name: monekymama) is hosting a 'Chicks Rule' kit swap on Splitcoast Stampers. The kits are my new favorite type of swap because not only do I get to choose fun images and accessories to coordinate, but then I receive five sets back of other swapper's kits and see what goodies they've included!

My first card is the sample I created for my spot in the 'Anything Goes' category. Since my favorite 'chick' activity is coffee with friends, I thought these Bellas would be perfect. Add in a little stamping, and it gets even better! The sketch is a window layout inspired by So Sketchy November #1:

This Magnolia card is for the category 'Chicks'. The sketch is Card Pattern's Sketch #40; Tilda's dress is paper-pieced:

Stamps: Magnolia 'Tilda with Chicks'. Cardstock: Coredinations, PaperStudio DP, black, DCWV 'Citrus Stack', Papertrey white. Ink: Memento black, Copics. Accessories: Nestabilities Rectangles, yellow satin ribbon, Bazzill black gingham ribbon, brads, feathers.

I used a computer-generated sentiment for the inside panel, which was also decorated with a few extra Magnolia chicks:

Now I can't wait to see the return kits!

Circle Journal Page #3: The Beginning of the Magnolias

**Click HERE to go to Saturday Spotlight: Repeatedly Useful challenge for this week!**

Stamps: Magnolia 'Tilda with Dala Horse', Polka Dot Punches. Cardstock: My Mind's Eye 'Out and About with glitter', Papertrey white, textured red. Ink: Memento black, Versamark, Copics. Accessories: Long Rectangle Nestabilites, 'Winter Wonderland' EP.

And this is where my obsession with Magnolias began -- a Tilda with a Dala horse! It reminded me so much of the year I spent in Sweden that I had to have it which led to having to have so many more!!

The sketch for this page is based on Taylored Expressions sketch #89 in a very CAS form; who needs layers when the DP is so fun? I also used the DP to paper-piece Tilda's dress.

This is my final page in the circle journal and it just wouldn't have been complete without a Magnolia since all the gals in the group are a little hooked on them!

Saturday Spotlight on Hidden Potential: Repeatedly Useful!

Digital images: Aisne's Creations 'Blossom and Friends', 'Fall Daze - Elements'. Paper Makeup Stamps freebie sentiment. Cardstock: Digital 'Fall Daze - Paper Pack 2' and 'Paper Pack 3', textured black. Accessories: yellow satin ribbon.

Don't you love a versatile image? Let's see how versatile they can be! Today's Saturday Spotlight on Hidden Potential challenge is: Use the same image more than once. Make it the focal point on three separate panels or use as a background. Get creative!

The card above is all digital, including the cardstock. I used two flower images from the 'Fall Daze - Elements' pack circling around the sentiment to create a floral frame. Add a pair of adorable fairies from the newly release 'Blossom and Friends' pack (only $1.50!) and it's clean and simple color-coordinated cuteness!

Now it's your turn! Show us how versatile your favorite image is by linking your creations to the Saturday Spotlight Challenge #6 post and be entered into the drawing for a $15 gift certificate from this week's sponsor, Stamp-by-Step!!

Stuffed With Reasons?

Digi image by KAH wink E Dink 'Digi Tom', DRS Designs 'Stuffed with Reasons Greeting' G760. Cardstock: kraft, Chocolate Chip, Archiver's yellow, Basic Grey 'Indian Summer' DP, GP110 white. Ink: Chocolate Chip, Copics. Accessories: Circle Nestabilites, googlie eyes.

Isn't this a hilarious Tom Turkey digi image? You can have him for FREE by playing along with the always fun bloggers at Opus Gluei challenge #31. Tom was kindly donated by Kristen of KAH wink E dink.

I'm not so sure Tom is thankful that the season is stuffed with reasons or anything else; I used googlie eyes to accent his thoughts on the matter:

The sketch is a CAS version of Taylored Expressions challenge #90. Taylor's sketches are always a great inspiration!
